Missing India

I just found this picture hiding in the bottom of my sister's photo collection and realised I had taken it earlier this year in India. NoW I can't remember the not so pleasant bits, I really miss that place. I miss not knowing how to do the simple things, it's too easy here (not that I don't love it). I was even tempted to get a curry from the Raj Mahal (dodgey dodgey dodgey).

It's been an amazing couple of months and have so much to tell, so it's going to be one big blog in the next couple of days!

You call yourselves Australian?

Today's the day I'm embarrassed to even be associated with Australia. The below blurb is only a snippet of what happened over the weekend, where thousands of "Australians" swarmed Sydney beaches and bashed the crap out of anybody who looked remotely foreign, including women. They surrounded buildings where people were sheltering from the violence and attacked ambulance drivers and police who tried to shelter the victims. It makes me absolutely ashamed and horrified at the so called "Australians" who were part of this. So much for "Aussie pride".

Revenge attacks in Sydney race war
GANGS of youths embarked on a series of "hit and run" revenge attacks across Sydney's beachside suburbs last night after a day of racial violence that saw mobs rampage through Cronulla, in the city's south, bashing anyone of Middle Eastern appearance. (the australian www.theaustralian.com.au)

Commitment

"Do you know the difference between involvement and commitment? Think of eggs and bacon. The chicken was involved. The pig was committed"
